Dental Services

Baylor College of Dentistry

  • Hours: Clinic opens at 7:30am Monday-Friday, first come first serve (first 20 pts)
  • How to apply: Apply by questionnaire available at information desk.  Send self addressed stamped envelope to the college for screening application.  Usually there is a lengthy wait of weeks or months between application and receiving services.
  • Cost of Services: Charged for cost of material rather than on ability to pay; Cost for first dental visit is $16; Cost is $36.00 for first tooth pulled and $7.00 each additional; Will give estimate for further needed services

Central Dallas Ministries

Community Dental Care (formerly Dental Health Programs, Inc)

  • Services: Treatment services range from amalgam and composite fillings and extractions to limited oral surgery, with dentures and partials available at some locations; preventive dental health services include cleanings, sealants, fluoride treatments, diagnostic x-rays, oral hygiene instruction and nutritional counseling; specialty care procedures, such as endodontics, periodontics and oral surgery, are referred to Baylor College of Dentistry and Parkland Oral Surgery; offer dental health education to children (infants to age 18), adults and senior citizens (60 and over); patients also include the homeless, low-income expectant mothers, and those with physical or mental disorders, as resources allow.

Kiwanis Wesley Dental Clinic (near JFK Learning Center)

  • How to apply: Must be referred by school nurse.
  • Cost of Services: No cost.  Donations appreciated.
  • Services: Provide dental care to children ages 6-18 and not on Medicaid and who do not pay for school lunches in the Dallas Independent School District.

Parkland Oral Surgery Clinic

  • Services: Oral surgeon on call for tooth extraction, repair fractured jaws, oral surgery.

Stewpot Dental Services (Homeless clients only)

  • 408 Park Avenue, Dallas, TX 75201; Located at First Presbyterian Church, Dallas (one and a half blocks east of City Hall on the south side of the street) in the old Otis Elevator Building. Enter the covered parking lot entrance off of Young Street and park as instructed by the security guard. There is plenty of parking available.
